Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Phoenix, Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop is a captivating destination that brilliantly fuses classic pizza flavors with an imaginative, playful spirit. Specializing in an eclectic range of pizzas and wings, this pizzeria elevates your traditional slice experience into a lively celebration of taste and fun. From the moment you step inside at 401 W Van Buren St Suite B, you're not just entering a pizza restaurant — you're stepping into a world where bold flavors, nostalgia, and unexpected surprises come together in perfect harmony.
Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop offers an inviting menu bursting with mouthwatering options. Pizza enthusiasts will delight in the Easy Cheesie Pie, a simple yet sublime creation featuring rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and a dash of Ziggy’s very own Stardust herb mix that adds a whisper of magic to every bite. For those craving something heartier, the Pepperoni Pie delivers a classic experience with generous layers of pepperoni blanketed by gooey mozzarella. Don’t miss their adventurous specialty slices like the Pepperoni Jalapeño & Veggie slice, which strikes a perfect balance between spicy kick and fresh garden flavors.
Wings at Ziggy’s are a sensory adventure all on their own. Whether you favor Buffalo Wings with their fiery and tangy allure or the uniquely satisfying Korean BBQ Wings glazed in a subtly sweet and smoky sauce, each batch is cooked to crispy, succulent perfection. The Ziggy Wings, dressed in a signature sweet and spicy savory sauce, have a way of lingering delightfully on your palate, inviting you to savor every last bite. Pair them with their legendary Ziggy Fries — crispy fries tossed with Parmesan, salt, and pepper — or sample the Buffalo Fries topped with crispy chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch for an indulgent treat that’s hard to forget.
The dining atmosphere at Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop is as distinct as its food. Often described as a combination of “pizza meets karaoke meets pinball,” the venue boasts a vibrant arcade bar hidden behind a secret door, offering patrons a nostalgic blast through vintage gaming alongside their meal. As Marissa Lindemann vividly recalls, the experience of singing “I Want It That Way” on a rainbow disco floor before digging into the melt-in-your-mouth garlic knots perfectly embodies the shop’s playful spirit and infectious energy.
What truly sets Ziggys apart is the magical blend of quality and community. Customers like Farmer Muhammad Ayub appreciate not only the courteous and professional staff but also the thoughtful extras, like free restrooms and convenient sample parking. The friendly, mellow vibe noted by Mr. Shawnta Hammond makes it a welcoming pit stop that feels more like an affectionate neighborhood secret than just another pizza joint. The shop is lauded for its speed and efficiency too — Saif praises the lightning-fast service perfect for a quick, satisfying lunch in the bustling city core.
Moreover, Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop has earned glowing esteem from locals and visitors alike for its unbeatable balance of affordable prices and top-tier flavors. Israel Gold wonderfully sums it up: “It’s Pizza! It’s Bowie! It’s More! Phoenix had been full of 6/5 star places and Ziggy’s is NO exception.” This enthusiasm reflects the shop’s unique personality — blending culinary comfort, artistic flair, and a genuine sense of community.
Whether you’re craving an extra-large pie to feed a hungry crowd or wishing to experience the joy of a half & half specialty pie for those who can’t commit, Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop delivers. Their varied menu, from cheesy knots to chicken parmesan fries, ensures there’s something to delight every craving. The “secret magic sauce” and the unmistakable “Ziggy’s Stardust” herb mix are subtle touches that linger long after your meal is over, beckoning you to return for more.
In essence, Ziggys Magic Pizza Shop is more than just a place to eat—it’s a destination that combines mouthwatering flavors, friendly faces, and playful surprises in a way few pizza spots can. If you find yourself in Phoenix, a visit here isn’t just recommended — it’s an essential part of embracing the city’s vibrant, spirited culinary scene.
We were in town for a convention and we ordered pizza for all the volunteers. They had everything ready for pick up in addition to the secret magic sauce. The staff are very polite and professional. The restrooms are free. There is sample parking around here. We were impressed with the number of arcade games that they have through a secret door leading through a refrigerated section.
I would drive 20 hours just to come back here again with my friends! Pizza meets karaoke meets pinball and a secret speakeasy. My group started our night out by singing “I want it that way” on a rainbow disco floor and ended with garlic knots (I’m still thinking about how good they are). If you’re there for the bar you’ve gotta try the starburst.
Best lunch special in downtown Phoenix. For $11-$14 you can get two slices and a drink or swap out a slice for 4 wings. And the motif is Ninja Turtle stuff because they loved pizza. Food comes out fast, in and out in 5 minutes, tops. Best of all they're open on a Tuesday, unlike some nearby pizza shops.
Ziggys truly is a Magic place - recommended to me by numerous locals for its incredible quality and affordable rates. Plus - plenty more Magic in this seemingly unsuspecting Pizza Shop! It’s Pizza! It’s Bowie! It’s More! What MORE could you want?!? Phoenix had been FULL of 6/5 star placed and Ziggy’s is NO exception.
My bad, I already started going to town before my photo. The only negative I have to say is I hate living so far from here but when in the neighborhood, I always stop for a slice or buffalo fries(pictured). The staff are friendly and mellow. If you have not been, definitely worth a visit. More than just good pizza. I promise!
We went into the city a few days ago to see a show at the Arizona Financial Theatre, and stopped here for a quick bite to eat before. Ziggy's is really close, only a 5 minute walk north! We enjoyed the pizza, wings, drinks and due to the great staff we still had plenty of time to fit in some pinball before heading over to the Theatre!
